Our curriculum follows Play Based Learning Theory (1) which emphasizes the use of guided play whilepromoting multiple areas of the child’s cognitivedevelopment.
To successfully accomplish this, werequire our Instructors to be Beism Theory Certified. Our Instructors tailor each lessons to be astructured or free play based activity that builds upon previous lessons! Our aim is to create a healthypositive environment that allows children to fullyexpress themself while learning leadership qualities.

Santa Cruz Parkour instructors teach you Parkour Movement starting at the ground, then progressing to larger real world obstacles. We regularly have check ins with our students, where we connect with the individual to get to know what skills & techniques they want to learn and get better at. Throughout training we track what skills, behaviors & traits the students have become proficient in, so we may promote or graduate them into a higher band level when they are ready.

At Santa Cruz Parkour we want to promote positive actions & character growth within our curriculum. To do this we created a Band System that encourages behavior such as Self Control, Optimism, Consideration, Adaptability & more… Each band & stripe is a physical representation of the students progress made in both skills & character development. When a student has earned a new band/promotion they will be given a new set of principles to uphold alongside previously acquired ones.

Mini Ninja’s Movement Curriculum

Mini Ninja’s Movement is our play based learning program for children ages 3-5. Our Mini Ninja’s Movement curriculum is tailored to develop fine gross motor skills, as well as focus and self control. We combine many different types of movement such as Parkour, Dance, & Martial Arts. As we play, we grow each kids personal development by challenging their cognitive ability.

 About Parkour

Parkour is…

“Parkour is the sport of moving along a route, trying to get around or through various obstacles a quick and efficient manner, as by jumping, climbing, or running.”

Parkour is play. Having fun wherever you go, with whatever you do. Having the vision to view the world differently. Creating games, challenges & movement through the environment.

Parkour is a Discipline
and Self-Practice.

Being able to change ones perception to see a route that was not previously seen. Parkour is about overcoming the challenges obstacles present while learning to adapt to the difficulties. Learning to conceiving the hardships presented in ones own mind to be perceived as conquerable with positive self growth opportunities. Practitioners train their bodies, mind, and spirit to be capable to perform specific actions. Through training their movements, Traceurs (Parkour Practitioner) are able to expand their self-confidence, creativity and knowledge of the world around them.
